Situated in Wharfedale, the peaceful hamlet of Skyreholme is a short walk from Appletreewick village, widely regarded as one of the most attractive villages in the area and one of the few unspoilt villages in the country. Appletreewick village boasts 2 award winning traditional pubs, both of which serve food and traditional ales.
The surrounding landscape is world renowned for its beauty and with the famous limestone, dry stonewalls, twisting country lanes, rugged high fells, heather-clad moors, ancient broadleaf woodland and sleepy meadows. The local scenery also boasts an exceptional variety of rare flora and fauna. In the summer you can still often see and hear the beautiful sounds of curlews, oystercatchers, lapwings, wheatears and skylarks.
The stunning gardens of Parcevall Hall are just a few hundred metres away from the cottage, and it is only a few miles from Bolton Abbey, the village of Burnsall and Stump Cross Caverns, a magnificent set of show caves. The closest market towns are Grassington, where the recently rebooted series of "All Creatures Great and Small" was filmed, and Skipton known as the "Gateway to the Dales", where you can also see the impressive Skipton Castle.
